Jose Chameleone was born Joseph Mayanja in Kampala on April 30, 1979.
His parents are Gerald Mayanja and Prossy Mayanja.
Jose Chameleone attended Nakasero Primary school in his hometown after which he got admitted into Katikama SDA, Mengo, and Kawempe Muslim Secondary Schools where he got his Secondary education.

Concerning his Marital life, Jose Chameleone is married to his lovely wife, Danielle Atim whom he tied the knot with on June 8, 2008.

Music Career
Jose Chameleone started his career in the entertainment industry as a DJ in 1996.
He used to perform at Missouri nightclubs in Kampala where he was born.
Seeing his amazing talents in mixing and producing songs as well as in handling the Mic, Ogopa Deejays, a Kenyan record label, had to sign Jose Chameleone.
He released his first studio album titled “Bageya” in which he featured Redsan, another artist from Kenya.
